ABOUT THE ARTWORK Following her interest in nature, Ng chose the elements of wood and earth as the colour base for her Buffel given the "Braun" brand's name. Entitled Braun Streaks the artist intended to create movement on the surface, and the marks actually follow a forward and upward angle of the buffalo, building layers and textures with varying hues and painterly gestures, whilst depicting the streaks in motion of the bull and simulating the organic texture and feel of the leather goods. |
