Singapore, 9 February 2006 –
A collection of paintings by three young female abstract artists, “Parallel Journeys” opens on 1 March at Public Art Space, Level 2, Pan Pacific Singapore.

The theme was selected because of the metaphorical journey that artists undergo in the process of creating art, self expression and exploration of the medium. The artists are inspired by painter and print-maker, Helen Frankenthaler’s quote "Every canvas is a journey on its own" which echoes individuals’ paths in life.

The canvases used are of the same height with the intention to form a literal single continuous line throughout the exhibition space, an embodiment of the journeys represented by the exhibition. Available for purchase, the paintings will be on display until 30 June 2006.
